Ft. Lauderdale Deep Sea Fishing Reports
Deep sea fishing in Fort
Lauderdale - May 2011
Deep sea fishing here in Fort Lauderdale is showing the variety of and
the bonus of sizable fish that we have come to expect for early May. It’s a
great time to fish here. Pictured is Rick out of Fullerton, California
with the biggest Tuna of the day. I snapped this picture about 45 minutes
after he released a Sailfish of about 45 pounds on 20 # spin. The Kings are
biting and they also are running bigger as a lot of fish are in the teens
and some up above 30 #. Sort
thru the Bonito and fish like these are waiting. Amberjacks are biting well
on the deep wrecks as has been the norm now. Good strong fish. The largest
fish whether it be a Jack, Tuna or King are taking our live baits the best.
Good clean blue water up on the edge and a brisk north current have got
things heated up, and a lot of fish are inside of 100 feet. Big Kings,
bigger Tunas and Sailfish have kept everybody focused. The only let down has
been the Dorado as they remain scattered at best.
