Fishing remains strong here. We are experiencing beautiful weather as well for our Ft. Lauderdale Fishing Charters. Lots of sun with a high of 85 and the seas are running at less than two feet. Our water is a clean blue all the way into 40 feet. As we mentioned in our previous report we have several species biting well offshore of Ft. Lauderdale. Mahi-Mahi continue to bite and these fish are aggressive now that we are off the full moon.
Loads of Bonito with an occasional Tuna just off the reef line today. Only about a half a knot of north current today and a few Sailfish taking advantage of clean blue water on the reefs to move inside to feed. This makes it easier for us to get a bite as they are in a condensed area that we can easily access and we don?t have to spend a lot of time in deeper water searching. Wahoo are an exception and are few and far between despite the favorable conditions.
We are still seeing those larger Kings. While we are not catching really oversized fish the ones we continue to see are good fish, far from your typical school sized Kings these fish today were just off the edge of the reef in 120 to 150 feet of water. These Kings are great sport and a lot of fun for our Ft. Lauderdale Fishing Charters. Hopefully they like it out front and stay with us awhile.
