As we now are at the end of July we continue to find the most reliable fishing to be in the vicinity of the reefs located approximately a mile off the beach. Fishing charters in Fort Lauderdale focusing in those general areas have by far offered the most action on a daily basis for our anglers. Please enjoy the photos included with this fishing report of some of our anglers who joined us here aboard the Marlin My Darlin.
Kingfish action has been good on those reefs mentioned but even though they remain typically very available there have been some slower days. But we do continue to catch them when we target them and they have provided our anglers with some good fishing. Some Cero Mackerel have been hitting the ice as well. Those hard fighting Bonito continue as expected and they can put a big smile on a junior anglers face in a hurry with their power and tenacity when hooked. Only an occasional Tuna and Mahi-Mahi just off the reefs since our last report.
We have been targeting the bottom with more regularity now, especially Captain Matt, and some very nice Mutton Snappers, assorted Jack species and deep water Golden Tiles have been taken by our anglers.
Those fast moving summertime showers have been popping up regularly this past week and while an inconvenience they do drop the temp a few degrees before typically quickly passing by.
Tight lines and good fishing to all.
