Deep Sea fishing in Fort Lauderdale picking up

The wind that had been stirring up the ocean has subsided, it made it choppy, but a good result is that overall fishing has improved and the Deep Sea fishing in Fort Lauderdale has picked up a bit. There are still some tougher days offshore, but the chances for a better catch have improved.

Really nice weather here again with plenty of sun and highs in the lower to mid 80s and sea conditions are slight. Strong south current has greeted us offshore the last three days and we have had catches of Mahi-Mahi, False Albacore (Bonito we call them),  some Blackfin Tuna and an occasional Sail or Wahoo. Some Kings inshore one day but gone the next. Jacks often on the wrecks but absent yesterday. We’ll take a look at them again tomorrow as we are entering prime time for them here and they are a lot of fun.

Looking forward to this weeks charters and as always we have included some photos of recent anglers who have joined us here aboard  Marlin My Darlin . Slight cool front rolling in mid week.

Tight lines and good fishing to all, see you on the rip. JJ
