Despite a slight increase in our Blackfin Tuna catches which are most often ( the best ones) just beyond the reefs those same reefs continue to be a good area for targeting fish on our Ft. Lauderdale fishing charters. We have been doing quite a bit of trolling as working along the reef has provided good action , particularly but not limited to the deeply fished lines. Live baiting has drawn bites, but as has been the trend lately the bites are fewer. Decent sized Kings, False Albacore (Bonito), occasional Wahoo or Sailfish. Captain Kopper finished off the Kings today and targeted Snappers on the bottom. Keeper sized Yellow Eye Snappers in 150 feet right out front of the inlet. Big Cudas this time of year so don’t be surprised if they help themselves to a Snapper or two.
As always we have included some photos of anglers who have joined us here aboard Marlin My Darlin. Happy Memorial Day week end from all of us here.
