May has proven to be a good choice for a fishing charter in Ft. Lauderdale as we begin the final week of the month. Very few windy days and the pattern of summertime fishing trends has very much begun. High season for Sailfish has passed now but we see them all year and there are a few around, mostly along the edges of the reef line just over a mile offshore. Catching some nice Blackfin Tunas in that same vicinity and this is the time of year where we see some really fat ones. Some good days along that same reef line for Kings and that should continue, and get even better as we move into the summer. Large Bonito (False Albacore / “ Albies”) mixed in with those Kings and also slightly deeper with the Tuna as well. Snappers as pictured as well on reefs and structure. Please enjoy the photos of recent anglers who have joined us here aboard Marlin My Darlin on our fishing trips in Ft. Lauderdale. We clean the boat before and after every trip, clean your fish too! Fishing pretty steadily again now and very much enjoying the clean ocean air and being offshore again with our charters. Tight lines and good fishing to all, see you offshore. Capt.
