Good fishing near shore in Fort Lauderdale

This is a good time for a fishing charter in Fort. Lauderdale as many species are available and they are often very close to shore with strong catches available within two miles of shore. And bear in mind that it gets deep quickly here. At two miles one is roughly in 500 feet of water so anglers can get experience deep sea fishing in Ft. Lauderdale while actually being quite close to shore. Catches have included Sailfish, Wahoo, Kings, Tuna and Bonito with some of that coming closer to a mile off the beach. Amberjack season now and many wrecks are now holding these fish. Any Mahi inside of two miles have been few. The deeper water hunts for Mahi have again found the fish often to be small and scattered. But t is May and there is most often good fishing for those other species, and the Mahi-Mahi will always be on every ones radar.

Please enjoy the photos of some of our recent anglers aboard our Marlin My Darlin boats . Anglers and fish of all sizes. Seas are often much calmer now and that fits well with all anglers, especially the youngest ones. Big sharks around now and often on the surface for a visual bite right and a good tug beginning right at the side of the boat. Bring the kids, as sharks are often at or near the top of their wish list. Good fishing most days for assorted species. Summer is here. See you on the rip.
