Deep Sea Fishing in Fort Lauderdale essentially quite strong for various species right now. Some pretty breezy weather is finally giving us a break, but the fish so very often love an onshore wind and fishing in Fort Lauderdale can very often pick up when that wind blows.

Near shore action is far better than wandering off with numerous Sailfish within a mile of the beach. We are now leaning heavier on live baiting, with the kites playing a major role on most days. We do love the fishing with live Ballyhoo but the breeze has had us kite fishing as it presents a more comfortable approach when Mother Nature kicks it up. The wind is backing off now so we will certainly be mixing some live Ballyhoo fishing into our charter efforts . Blackfin Tunas off the edge, a few Kings, surprising few Mahi-Mahi with the easterly winds, but scoring pretty regularly with the Sailfish. Still very large Cudas available down south on live Bonitos fished on light tackle. Lots of photos included here of anglers who have joined us here aboard Marlin My Darlin.

Tight lines and Happy New Year to all. We are ridiculously busy, certainly not complaining. Please try to call in advance to ensure availability on your first choice of dates. We’ll see you on the rip.
