Our weather has been very pleasant for our fishing charters in Fort Lauderdale. Lots of sun with little or no rain for essentially the entire week, hitting a high of 85 today. We are enjoying a nice onshore breeze which is cooling it down a bit out on the ocean. We have had some strong Blackfin Tuna days with these fish showing in essentially 200 to 400 feet of water. Found them a couple of days out in 500 feet, which is still close to shore here at about two miles or so off the beach. They have been fun to catch ( providing some good action for the kids especially) and equally fun to eat. Finding an occasional Mahi-Mahi there as well Can’t not mention that Wahoo have been in our area and holding in the vicinity of bottom structure and wrecks that hold baitfish. There are some Sailfish adding to the action but not every day, even though we pay them a lot of attention this time of year. Most of those Sailfish are being found in less than 200 feet of water here on our fishing trips in the Ft. Lauderdale area with those fish slightly shallower to the south of us. So overall the fishing has picked up on most days and we are having fun offshore enjoying the clean crisp open ocean air under clear bright skies. Tight lines and good fishing to all.
