The weather has continued to cooperate with us here on our fishing charters in Fort Lauderdale with clear skies and very reasonable wind conditions, resulting in comfortable sea conditions. And the fishing trips in Ft. Lauderdale have been for the most part productive and fun with few lumps in the road, but as always every day is indeed a different day in fishing. We are spending the majority of our time in water less than 400 feet deep which as many of you know is well within two miles of shore. A trip into the deep to the 50/50 line in search of Mahi which proved elusive that day has us sticking close now along and just off the reef line. We did catch a Sailfish and Tuna out there, but the action has been better near shore for us as we said. Nice catch and release Sailfish photo in this report was one of two singles caught by Krista fishing with us aboard our 53 with Capt. Matt and 1st mate Colton in approximately 150 feet of water. Flat calm day and a good show on live baited Ballyhoo. Other fish on this trip were Kings, Bonito and Blackfin Tunas. Those Kings and Tunas are good fun summer fish and should provide action throughout the summer months. Good fun for the younger set as you can see by those photos we always include. Special thanks to our returning customers who are joining us here aboard Marlin My Darlin and also those new anglers fishing with us. We are no exception to those so heavily impacted by the virus and this has been a tough road. We are a little wobbly on our cash flow feet but very much still standing, healthy, and still catching. Life is good, see you on the rip.
Sunny skies again and good near shore action.
