Pictured below are some of our recent catches and the anglers who joined us here for a fishing charter in Ft. Lauderdale aboard our Marlin My Darlin boats. A diverse group anglers as of late with familes, friends, a business meeting charters and even a bachelor party. I’m often mentioning a mixed bag when relating to current catches, and this report covers again various species caught by very varied anglers. Some folks brand new to deep sea fishing, and others with many days on the water. So it’s been some good catches and certainly a good time interacting with the diverse group of anglers we have carried offshore. So here we go with the updated fishing report.
Wrecks are holding good sized Amberjacks, and some fine Black Groupers have hit the ice. Kings, Bonito (False Albacore) and Blackfin Tuna. Mahi-Mahi have moved closer to shore recently. Big Sharks like the very large Tiger Shark included in the photos with this report. The Barracudas are inhabiting several of the inshore wrecks off shore of Ft. Lauderdale and Holywood in impressive numbers and many are also of impressive size. Go light and enjoy the fight. And how about that Cubera Snapper that took a live bait fished just off the bottom on a mid range wreck. A few Sails around. Thinking Wahoo right now, locked and loaded and ready to tangle with some more of the big boys that put a smile on an angler’s face. Ours too, see you on the rip.
