Summer is definitely here as those north and northwesterly winds on the cold (cool) fronts are very few and far between now as we move through May. Easterly breezes coming in off the ocean now on most days. Nice days and today is a very good one, very clear with only a slight wind.
We continue to see Kings along the edges of the reef lines. Bonito up in the same areas as expected. Nice Blackfin Tunas just off the edge on many days with some in the mid to upper teens. A trip offshore to the Swordfish areas yesterday netted some Mahi-Mahi but only a single deep bite when we tried the Swords. Sailfish are scattered now but always a possibility. Jacks continue on be on the wrecks and Sharks also on those wrecks and again in the deeper water in addition to the reefs. Extreme current has limited some of our wreck fishing in the deeper water. Please enjoy the photos included in this report of anglers who have joined us here for a deep sea fishing charter in Ft. Lauderdale. This summer is unfolding as a very busy one. Phone ahead direct to Capt. JJ for availability and all reservations @ 954-778-8173. Tight lines and good fishing from all of us here @ Marlin My Darlin
