Summer is upon us, no longer just around the corner. Time flies when you’re having fun, and a perfect summer would include no hurricanes to interrupt the fun. Time will tell on that one. We here have been lucky as the Gulf coast has been more in the bullseye most recently. So here we go into June. Fishing has been pretty good up until two days back, got tough there, but this morning both the 46 and the 53 Marlin My Darlin are presently enjoying a better catch. Summer is here, sunscreen and a hat, we supply unlimited individual sized bottled waters with your charter ( and also A/C).
Enjoy the photos of recent anglers who have joined us here. June ‘s typical summertime catches often include Kingfish, Tuna and Bonito. Amberjack and various other Jacks on wrecks and some snappers too current permitting. Sailfish and Wahoo always a possibility but not high season for them. Light tackle Barracudas run large and are fun on light tackle. Sharks are inshore and offshore as well. Swordfish a good target but as always a roll of the dice. Hero or zero. Mahi become a full day charter target species as they move for the most part further offshore. We’ll see some inside the shelf but they will many days prefer the deeper water off the edge.
