Fort Lauderdale fishing report mid December

Coming up fast on Christmas as another month flies by. Weather has been warm and just cool enough to remain very pleasant. A “mild” start to winter for sure. The catching has at times been erratic  and challenging but we continue to have some good catches. Along the edges of the outer reefs has been best as is often the case year after year here when fishing in Ft. Lauderdale and south Florida. Live baiting with Ballyhoo and also the kites just off the edge and trolling back and forth across the reef lines (with natural and artificial baits) as mentioned. Nice Jacks on wrecks and snappers. You’ll see a nice grouper among the pictures of our recent anglers that we try to post with every report. Tight lines and good fishing. Happy Holidays from all of us here @ Marlin My Darlin Sportfishing.
