This week has been an exceptional one for fishing in Fort Lauderdale, with some of the best catches we’ve seen in recent memory. The reef trolling has been especially rewarding, yielding impressive numbers of Bonita, Kingfish, Wahoo, and Blackfin Tuna, as well as a few Sailfish. Anglers have been thrilled with the constant action and sizeable catches. Offshore fishing has been equally exhilarating. We’ve had outstanding success with Mahi-Mahi and smaller Wahoo caught around floating debris, and to top it off, a couple of impressive Blue Marlin have made their mark on our trips.
Sword-fishing, both day and night, has been remarkable this week. Many charters have reported multiple bites, landing some hefty swordfish that have added excitement to the deep-sea experience. Night fishing continues to delight with a solid presence of swordfish and even a few sharks spotted offshore.
When it comes to bottom fishing along the reef, we’re seeing fantastic results as well. There’s been a bountiful haul of Yellowtail Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, and Goliath Grouper. Not to mention the elusive Snowy Groupers, Amberjacks, and a rare catch of True Red Snappers.
With promising weather in the forecast, we’re looking forward to more incredible fishing opportunities in the coming weeks. It’s a perfect time to book your Fort Lauderdale family fishing adventure.
