Greetings from the vibrant waters of South Florida! As summer gracefully transitions into fall, Fort Lauderdale’s fishing scene is offering some fantastic opportunities for anglers of all kinds. Over the past couple of weeks, the fishing has been consistently rewarding, with ysuccessful catches both offshore and inshore, whether it’s trolling or bottom fishing.

Trolling along the Reef has been particularly fruitful, with a bounty of Sailfish Releases. Mahi Mahi and some impressive Wahoo in our coolers. The waters have also gifted anglers with plenty of bonitos and king mackerels, ensuring excitement around every corner.

The Mahi Mahi action offshore has been phenomenal, with an abundance of school-sized catches and the occasional “slammer” weighing between 15 to 20 pounds. These vibrant fish are frequently found around weed patches and floating debris, where smaller wahoos are also in the mix.

Shark fishing has been outstanding, with the past weeks seeing a thrilling number of large reef sharks—along with sightings of Hammerheads and Bull Sharks in around the reefs in depths of 150 to 200 feet.

When it comes to wreck fishing, conditions have been decent, with larger vermillion snappers, yellow-eyed snappers, and some hefty mutton snappers making regular appearances.

The promise of the upcoming mullet run only adds to the anticipation, making this a perfect time to head out with us on the Marlin My Darlin! Whether you’re a seasoned angler or a family looking for an adventure, now is the perfect time to cast your line in Fort Lauderdale’s rich waters.
